Embryonic stem cell research proponents claim that embryos are not persons. However, this would make the embryo a human non-person. Does such a creature really exist? Who should be in charge of determining which characteristics of personality constitute personhood? In the past, numerous human beings have been defined as non-persons. Should we begin a new list of human beings who aren't really persons?
