Slide 8 of 63

Who invented cloning? It's a tricky question. However, depending upon one's perspective, either God or evolution invented cloning upon the birth of the first identical twin. Stem cell research has been going in for forty years, but only became controversial upon the beginning of human embryonic stem cell research in 1998. However, cloning of human embryos has only been around since 2001. The next six slides will briefly examine the history of stem cell research and cloning.
