The Book of Mormon claims to be "another testament of Jesus Christ,"¹ written by the prophet Mormon.² It describes two civilizations (Jaredites and the sons of Lehi) that presumably existed in the Americas during biblical times.³ Two (Jaredites and Nephites) of the three peoples were completely wiped out through warfare with only the Lamanites existing today.⁴
